God with us. "I AM".
Jesus is God among us. The fullness of the Deity dwells in Him.
Isaiah 7:14; 8:8-10 Matthew 1:23.
This name indicates that Jesus is more than a man. He is also God. Isaiah said that the child to be born from a virgin would be named "Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:14; 9:3). He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact representation of his being (Hebrews 1:3). Immanuel is an Hebrew word that, as indicated in the book of Matthew, means God with us or with us is God. The name Immanuel is a proper noun that has a messianic symbolism, if applied to Jesus on his birth.
