For no one knows their time. As the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.


But he doesn’t know that the departed spirits are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.


For the net is spread in vain in the sight of any bird;


For a prostitute reduces you to a piece of bread. The adulteress hunts for your precious life.


He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul.


He followed her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter, as a fool stepping into a noose.


I find more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and traps, whose hands are chains. Whoever pleases God must escape from her, but the sinner will be ensnared by her.
