“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: “Thus says the holy one, the true one, the one who holds the key of David, who opens and no one can shut, and who shuts and no one opens:
Each one of the four had six wings full of eyes around and within. Day and night, they do not have an intermission from saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!”
All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, nor does anyone know the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son desires to reveal him.
For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
Make the heart of this people calloused. Make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed.”
Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name, if you know?
