He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy.

Therefore his calamity will come suddenly. He will be broken suddenly, and that without remedy.

But they didn’t listen or turn their ear. Instead they made their neck stiff, so that they would not hear or receive instruction.

God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against ʜɪᴍ and prospered?


When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous thrive.


I will punish him, his descendants, and his servants for their iniquity. I will bring on them, on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and on the people of Judah, all the disaster that I have warned them about, but they didn’t listen.”’”


Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?


Pharaoh sent representatives who saw there was not so much as one of the livestock of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he didn’t send the people away.


Blessed is the one who always fears; but one who hardens their heart falls into trouble.


So now y’all must not mock, or y’all’s bonds will be made stronger. For I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord, YHWH Almighty, on the whole earth.


Have you rejected-rejected Judah? Has your soul loathed Zion? Why do you strike us with no hope of healing for us? We looked for peace, but no good came, and for a time of healing, but there is only terror!
