“‘Y’all must not act unjustly in judgment. You must neither lift up the face of the poor or show honor to face of the great, but you are to judge your neighbor in righteousness.
Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of YHWH are right, and the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.
You must not pervert justice. You must not show partiality. You must not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.
Y’all must not show partiality in judgment. Y’all are to listen to the small and the great alike. Y’all must not be afraid of the face of man, for the judgment is God’s. If a case is too hard for y’all, y’all may bring to me, and I will hear it.”
