Listen to your father who gave you life, and don’t despise your mother when she is old.

“The eye that mocks a father, and despises obedience to a mother, the ravens of the valley will pick it out, the young eagles will eat it.

My son, listen to your father’s instruction, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching;

My son, keep your father’s commandment, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching.

‘Cursed is anyone who dishonors his father or his mother.’ All the people will say, ‘Amen.’

“‘Each one of y’all is to respect their mother father, and y’all are to keep my Sabbaths. I am YHWH y’all’s God.

For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother;’ and, ‘Anyone who speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.’

There is a generation that curses their father, and doesn’t bless their mother.

“‘You are to rise up in the presence of the gray head and honor the face of the elderly. You are to fear your God. I am YHWH.

A wise son makes a father glad, but a foolish man despises his mother.
