He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth.
Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep. The idle soul will suffer hunger.
The soul of the sluggard craves, but has nothing, while the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.
so your poverty will come as a robber and your want as an armed man.
The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways, and be wise;
Counsel in person’s heart is like deep water, but a person of understanding will draw it out.
The desire of the sluggard kills him, for his hands refuse to labor.
The one who observes the wind won’t sow; and the one who regards the clouds won’t reap.
