Don’t say, “I will pay back evil.” Wait for YHWH, and he will save you.

Y’all see to it that no one pays back evil with evil. Instead, y’all should always pursue what is good for one another and for all.


Don’t say, “I will do to them as they did to me; I will repay them according to their deeds.”


Whoever rewards evil for good, evil will not depart from their house.


Y’all are not to return evil for evil or insult for insult, but instead give a blessing, because y’all were called so that y’all would inherit a blessing.


Vengeance is mine, and recompense, at the time when their foot slides, for the day of their calamity is at hand. Their doom rushes at them.”


When he was insulted, he did not retaliate. When he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he committed himself to ʜɪᴍ who judges righteously.


But I tell y’all, don’t resist an evil person. But if someone slaps you on the right cheek, turn the other cheek to them as well.


Therefore, those who suffer according to the will of God should entrust their souls to their faithful Creator as they do good.


Wait for YHWH. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for YHWH.


It may be that YHWH will look on the wrong done to me, and that YHWH will repay me good for the cursing of me today.”


but those who wait for YHWH will renew their strength. They will rise up on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not get tired.


Wait for YHWH, and keep ʜɪꜱ way, and ʜᴇ will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.


An inheritance quickly gained at the beginning won’t be blessed in the end.


“‘You must not take revenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you are to love your neighbor as yourself. I am YHWH.

YHWH helps them and rescues them. Hᴇ rescues them from the wicked and saves them, because they have taken refuge in ʜɪᴍ.


The insight of a person makes them slow to anger. It is their glory to overlook an offense.
