Likewise, y’all who are younger, be subject to the elders. All y’all should clothe yourselves in humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”


Before destruction a person’s heart is proud, but before honor is humility.


The fear of YHWH is the beginning of knowledge, but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.

He who refuses correction despises his own soul, but he who listens to reproof gets understanding.


The plans of the heart belong to a person, but the answer of the tongue is from YHWH.


Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, came to go in to the king, she asked for nothing except what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the keeper of the women, advised. Esther obtained favor in the sight of all those who looked at her.
