Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to YHWH, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.


Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts.

A strong woman is the crown of her husband, but a disgraceful wife is like rot in his bones.


The words of the wicked are about lying in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.


The wisdom of the prudent is to think about his way, but the folly of fools is deceit.


“They bend their tongue, as their bow, for falsehood. They have grown strong in the land, but not for truth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they don’t know me,” says YHWH.


Friends deceive each other, and will not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies. They weary themselves committing iniquity.
