Charge those who are rich in this present age not to be arrogant or have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
For they will be like a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out its roots by the river. It does not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t stop bearing fruit.
That person will be like a tree planted by streams of water, that produces its fruit in season, and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever they do prospers.
