Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.


Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger.


The tongue is also a fire, a world of evil set among the parts of our body. It defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of our existence, and is itself set on fire by hell.


Now a poor wise person was found in it, and by his wisdom he delivered the city. But no one remembered that same poor man.


Hᴇ will even deliver one who is not innocent. Yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”

So now it wasn’t y’all who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, lord of all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.


When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices. When the wicked perish, there is shouting.


One who despises his neighbor is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding holds his peace.


In rebellion, a land has many rulers, but order is maintained by a person of understanding and knowledge.
