When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.


“So let all your enemies perish, YHWH, but let those who love him be as the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had rest forty years.


When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous thrive.


Men will clap their hands at him, and will hiss him out of his place.

By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.


When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.


She looked, and there was the king, standing by his pillar at the entrance, with the captains and the trumpeters by the king. All the people of the land rejoiced and blew trumpets. The singers also played musical instruments, and led the singing of praise. Then Athaliah tore her clothes, and said, “Treason! treason!”


So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet. They had slain Athaliah with the sword.


Then the heavens and the earth, and all that is in them will sing for joy over Babylon; for the destroyers will come to her from the north,” says YHWH.
