He said to them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. Why is it written that the Son of Humanity should suffer many things and be despised?
YHWH, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, says to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers: “Kings will see and rise up, princes, and they will worship, because of YHWH who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”
“Awake, sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is close to me,” says YHWH Almighty. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; and I will turn my hand against the little ones.
He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and strike the earth with a curse.”
The Son of Humanity will go just as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Humanity is betrayed! It would be more excellent for that man if he had not been born.”
From that time, Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised up.
YHWH said to me, “Throw it to the potter—the handsome price that I was valued at by them!” I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of YHWH.
because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, “The Son of Humanity is going to be handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him. After he has been killed, on the third day he will rise again.”
“See, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Humanity will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death and will deliver him to the ethnic groups.
