But these are the ones sown on excellent ground: those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times.”
so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please him in everything, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God,
But the seed that fell on the excellent ground, these are the ones who have an honest and excellent heart, who hear the word, hold it tightly, and through perseverance, produce fruit.
Others fell into the excellent ground and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing. Some produced thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times as much.”
But the seed sown on the excellent ground corresponds to the person who hears the word and understands it. That person bears fruit and produces a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.”
For if y’all have these qualities and they are continually increasing, they prevent y’all from being ineffective or unproductive in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my siblings, y’all also were made to die to the law through the body of Christ, so that y’all would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, so that we might bear fruit for God.
Y’all didn’t choose me, but I chose y’all and appointed y’all so that y’all would go and bear fruit, and that y’all’s fruit should remain. And so that whatever y’all ask in my name, the Father will give to y’all.
Additionally then, siblings, we ask and urge y’all in the Lord Jesus, that as y’all received instruction from us on how you* should live to please God—as y’all are doing—do it all the more.
