No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear becomes worse.

No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch would pull away from the garment, and the tear will be worse.


No temptation has overtaken y’all except what is common to humankind. God is faithful, and he will not allow y’all to be tempted beyond what y’all are able, but with the temptation will make the way of escape, so that y’all will be able to endure it.


For I will not contend forever, neither will I always be angry; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls whom I have made.


But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and on that day they will fast.


No one puts new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins will be destroyed. Instead, they put new wine into fresh wineskins.”


He also told them a parable. “No one tears a piece from a new garment and puts it on an old garment. Otherwise, they will have torn the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old.
