Afterward, he appeared to the eleven themselves as they sat at the table. He rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they didn’t believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
He said to them, “Because y’all have so little faith. For truly I tell y’all, if y’all have faith as small as a grain of mustard seed, y’all can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for y’all.”
The other disciples said to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the imprint of the nails and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
After eight days, again his disciples were inside and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood in the middle of them, and said, “Peace be with y’all.”
After his suffering, he presented himself to them alive with many convincing proofs. He appeared to them over a period of forty days, speaking about the Empire of God.
