Now Simon’s mother-in-law was laying sick with a fever, and they immediately told him about her.
Don’t we have the right to take a believing wife, as do the other apostles, the Lord’s brothers, and Cephas?
So the sisters sent for him, saying, “Lord, look, the one you love is sick.”
and begged him profusely, saying, “My little girl is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her, so that she may be healed and live.”
When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever.
As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the house of Simon and Andrew.
He came and took her by the hand and raised her up. The fever left her, and she served them.
