And they cried out, saying, “What do we have to do with you, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?”


You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe—and shudder.


“Go away! What do we have to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”


But y’all disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be released to y’all.


“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: “Thus says the holy one, the true one, the one who holds the key of David, who opens and no one can shut, and who shuts and no one opens:


because you will not abandon my soul in Hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay.


When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, shouting with a loud voice, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”


and screaming with a loud voice, he said, “What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I implore you by God, don’t torment me!”


For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will you allow your faithful one to see decay.


We have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”


The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the one who is to be born will be holy and will be called the Son of God.


For we have found this man to be a plague, one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader the Nazarene sect.


“The truth is that Herod and Pontius Pilate gathered together in this city with the ethnic groups and the people of Israel against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,


“What things?” he asked them. They replied, “The things about Jesus the Nazarene. He was a prophet, powerful in deed and word before God and all the people.


and came and lived in a city called Nazareth. This fulfilled what was spoken through the prophets that he will be called a Nazarene.


Then all the people of the surrounding region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to depart from them, for they were very gripped by great fear. So he got into the boat and returned.


Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?’ For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”


“Seventy weeks are decreed on your people and on your holy city, to finish disobedience, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.


Just then, there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,


Jesus rebuked him, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”


When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me!”


When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, “You were also with the Nazarene, Jesus!”


He said to them, “Y’all don’t be alarmed. You* are looking for Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him!


Y’all have an anointing from the Holy One, and y’all all know.
