Whoever blasphemes the name of YHWH must be put to death-death. The whole the congregation must stone-stone him. Anyone who blasphemes the Name, whether foreigner or native-born must be put to death.
So Pilate said to them, “Y’all take him yourself*, and judge him according to y’all’s law.” Then the Jews said to him, “It is illegal for us to put anyone to death.”
While y’all have the light, believe in the light, that y’all may become children of light.” Jesus said these things, and then he departed and hid himself from them.
Consequently, Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews. Instead, he departed from there into the country near the wilderness to a city called Ephraim. He stayed there with his disciples.
