Y'all Version Bible

So the Jews said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath. It is not lawful for you to carry your mat.”

Then some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” So there was division among them.


But some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why are y’all doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath day?”


YHWH says, “Y’all must be careful with your* lives! Y’all must not carry a load on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem.


But the ruler of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, and he said to the crowd, “There are six days when work should be done. So y’all should come and be healed on those days, not the Sabbath day!”


Then he said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm? To save a life or to kill?” But they were silent.


The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”


For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the Sabbath.


If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses won’t be broken, why are y’all angry with me because I made a man completely healthy on the Sabbath?


They returned home and prepared spices and perfumes. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.


But if y’all don’t listen to me and make the Sabbath day holy, by not carrying a load and entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem. It will not be quenched.”’”


“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of YHWH honorable, and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,


And a man with a withered hand was there. They asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?” so that they could accuse him.


This is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”


He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your mat and walk.’”


The man left and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
