So then the other disciple who arrived at the tomb first also went in. He saw and believed.
The other disciples said to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the imprint of the nails and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
They both ran together. The other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.
Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Jesus responded, saying, “Because I told you, ‘I saw you underneath the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these!”
“But he told him, ‘If they didn’t listen to Moses and the Prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”
