For we all stumble in many ways. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in what they say is a perfect person, able to bridle their entire body.

If anyone thinks of themself as religious but doesn’t bridle their tongue, they deceive their own heart and their religion is worthless.


The one who guards their mouth guards their soul. But those who opens their mouth wide come to ruin.


For, “Whoever wants to love life and see good days, must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from speaking deceit.


For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”


Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking lies.


Who can say, “I have made my heart pure. I am clean and without sin?”


Surely there is not a righteous person on earth who does good and never sins.


As it is written, “There is no one righteous, not even one.


Let perseverance have its perfect work so that y’all may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.


If they sin against you (for there is no man who doesn’t sin), and you are angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captive to the land of the enemy, far off or near;


For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point has become guilty of all.


For we have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteousness is like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.


Instead I beat my body and make it my slave, so that after I have preached to others, I myself should not be disqualified.


may ʜᴇ equip y’all in every good thing to do ʜɪꜱ will, working in us what is pleasing in ʜɪꜱ sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.


Epaphras, who is one of y’all, a slave of Christ, greets y’all. He is always struggling for y’all in his prayers, that y’all may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.


We proclaim him, admonishing every human and teaching every human in all wisdom, that we may present every human perfect in Christ Jesus.


But the Scripture locked up everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.


So I find this law: when I desire to do what is excellent, worthlessness is present within me.


“If they sin against you (for there is no man who doesn’t sin), and you are angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captive to a land far off or near;


But after y’all have suffered a little while, may the God of all grace, who called y’all to his eternal glory in Christ, restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish y’all.


For the flesh desires what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. They are in conflict with one another, so that y’all don’t do whatever y’all want.


I said, “I will watch my ways, so that I don’t sin with my tongue. I will keep my mouth with a bridle while the wicked is before me.”


In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely.


Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.


Brood of vipers, how can y’all, being evil, say anything good? For from what fills the heart, the mouth speaks.


then the priest is to examine them and he sees that the bright spots on the skin of their body are a dull white, it is a harmless rash. It has broken out in the skin. He is clean.


that you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?
