A man who was lame from birth was being carried the door of the temple which is called Beautiful. He was laid there every day to beg for alms from those who entered into the temple.

In Lystra a man who had no strength in his feet was sitting. He had been lame since birth and had never walked.


Then the neighbors and those who had previously seen him as a beggar said, “Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?”


A poor man named Lazarus was dropped off at his gate, full of sores.


and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your charitable deeds have been remembered in the sight of God.


As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging.


Staring at him in fear, he said, “What is it, Lord?” The angel told him, “Your prayers and your charitable deeds have gone up for a memorial offering before God.


For this miracle of healing had been performed on a man who was more than forty years old.


and they recognized him as the man who used to sit and beg for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
