For if y’all have these qualities and they are continually increasing, they prevent y’all from being ineffective or unproductive in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our people must learn to devote themselves to excellent works to meet urgent needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.


Let the word of Christ dwell in y’all richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in y’all’s heart to God.


Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, ʜᴇ takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, ʜᴇ cleans, that it may bear more fruit.


so that y’all won’t become sluggish, but be imitators of those who inherit the promises through faith and perseverance.


This I pray, that y’all’s love may abound even more and more in knowledge and insight,


Additionally then, siblings, we ask and urge y’all in the Lord Jesus, that as y’all received instruction from us on how you* should live to please God—as y’all are doing—do it all the more.


Therefore, my beloved siblings, y’all must stand firm, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because y’all know that y’all’s labor in the Lord is not in vain.


May grace and peace be multiplied to y’all in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.


I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become energized in the knowledge of every good thing which is in y’all for the sake of Christ.


We should always give thanks to God for y’all, siblings, and rightly so, because y’all’s faith is flourishing and the love y’all have toward one another keeps growing,


Y’all should have the same mind as Christ Jesus,


Y’all must examine yourselves to see whether y’all are in the faith. Y’all should test yourselves. Or do y’all not recognize that Jesus Christ is in y’all?—unless indeed y’all fail the test.


rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, even as y’all were taught, and abounding in thanksgiving.


and in their prayers for y’all’s, they have affection for y’all because of the surpassing grace of God in y’all.


During a severe trial of oppression, their abundant joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed to the wealth of their generosity.


Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, talking about things that are not proper.


May the Lord make y’all increase and abound in love for one another and for all people, just as we do for y’all,


But since y’all excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in y’all’s love for us—y’all be sure to excel in this grace as well.


not lacking in zeal, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord,


But I know y’all—that y’all don’t have God’s love in you.


“But his master answered him, ‘You wicked, lazy servant. So you knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter?


About five in the afternoon, he went out and found others standing around. He asked them, ‘Why do you stand here all day without work?’


At about nine in the morning, he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace not working.


The seed sown among the thorns is the one who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, making it unfruitful.


Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep. The idle soul will suffer hunger.


This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.


But more than that, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I suffered and lost everything. Indeed, I consider them excrement, that I may gain Christ


so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please him in everything, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God,


Hɪꜱ divine power has granted to us everything for life and godliness, through the knowledge of ʜɪᴍ who called us by ʜɪꜱ own glory and virtue.


For if, after they have escaped the corruption of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, their last state has become worse for them than the first.


But y’all ought to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
