For seven days y’all are to present food offerings to YHWH. On the eighth day, there is to be a holy convocation for y’all, and y’all are to offer a food offering to YHWH. It is a solemn assembly, and y’all are not to do any regular work.
Y’all must sanctify a fast. Y’all must call a solemn assembly. Y’all gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the house of YHWH, your* God, and cry to YHWH.
Also day by day, from the first day to the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. They kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according to the ordinance.
So Solomon held the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt, before YHWH our God, seven days and seven more days, even fourteen days.
On the twenty-third day of the seventh month, he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the goodness that YHWH had shown to David, to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
