King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand head of cattle and a hundred twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated God’s house.

It was the Feast of the Dedication at Jerusalem.


Will YHWH be pleased with thousands of rams? With ten thousand rivers of oil? Should I give my firstborn for my rebellion? The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?


It will be the prince’s duty to give the burnt offerings, the meal offerings, and the drink offerings, in the feasts, and on the new moons, and on the Sabbaths, in all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel. He is to prepare the sin offering, the meal offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.”


For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly for offerings one thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep; and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.


They sacrificed to YHWH in that day, of the plunder which they had brought, seven hundred head of cattle and seven thousand sheep.


King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled to him were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle that could not be counted or numbered for multitude.


Now I am about to build a house for the name of YHWH my God, to dedicate it to ʜɪᴍ, to burn before him incense of sweet spices, for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts of YHWH our God. This is an permanent ordinance for Israel.


Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before YHWH, which was at the Tent of Meeting, and offered one thousand burnt offerings on it.


They sacrificed sacrifices to YHWH and offered burnt offerings to YHWH on the next day after that day, even one thousand bulls, one thousand rams, and one thousand lambs, with their drink offerings and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel,


The leaders gave offerings for the dedication of the altar in the day that it was anointed. The leaders gave their offerings before the altar.


Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before YHWH.


The priests stood, according to their positions; the Levites also with instruments of music of YHWH, which David the king had made to give thanks to YHWH, when David praised by their ministry, saying “For his lovingkindness endures forever.” The priests sounded trumpets before them; and all Israel stood.
