“Therefore, I will gather you to your ancestors, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace. Your eyes won’t see all the evil that I will bring on this place and on its inhabitants.”’” They brought back this message to the king.

Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of YHWH which you have spoken is good.” He said moreover, “For there will be peace and truth in my days.”


Watch the blameless, and see the upright, for there is a future for the person of peace.


Then YHWH said to me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!


So his servants took him out of the chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had, and brought him to Jerusalem, where he died. He was buried in the tombs of his ancestors, and all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

“See how Ahab humbles himself before me? Because he humbles himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days; but I will bring the evil on his house in his son’s day.”


because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before God when you heard ʜɪꜱ words against this place and against its inhabitants, and have humbled yourself before me, and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you,” says YHWH.


Then the king sent and gathered together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.


But then, Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that YHWH’s wrath didn’t come on them in the days of Hezekiah.
