2 Chronicles 30:8

Y'all Version Bible

Now y’all must not be stiff-necked like y’all’s ancestors were, but submit your* hand to YHWH. Y’all are to enter into ʜɪꜱ sanctuary, which ʜᴇ has sanctified forever, and serve YHWH y’all’s God, so that ʜɪꜱ burning anger may turn away from y’all.

Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with YHWH, the God of Israel, that his fierce anger may turn away from us.


YHWH said to Moses, “I have seen these people, they are a stiff-necked people.


Therefore, y’all must circumcise the foreskin of y’all’s heart, and y’all must stop being so stiff-necked.


For this reason, they are before the throne of God, and they serve ʜɪᴍ day and night in his temple. The one who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.


But about Israel he says, “All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”


But now, having been liberated from sin and enslaved to God, y’all have the fruit of sanctification and the outcome of eternal life.


If anyone serves me, let them follow me. Where I am, there my deacon will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor them.


Then Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You are to worship the Lord [YHWH] your God, and serve only ʜɪᴍ.’”


Hᴇ threw on them the fierceness of ʜɪꜱ anger, wrath, indignation, and trouble, and a band of angels of evil.


until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.


Princes will come from Egypt. Ethiopia will quickly stretch out her hands to God.


They have seen your processions, God, even the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.


So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory.


They gave their hand that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their guilt.


He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God; but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning to YHWH, the God of Israel.


and said to them, “Y’all must not bring the captives here, or we will be guilty before YHWH. Do y’all intend to add to our sins and guilt. For our guilt is so great that there is burning anger is on Israel.”


Now y’all listen to me! Y’all must send back the captives that y’all captured from your* brothers, for the fierce wrath of YHWH is against y’all.”


All the princes, the mighty men, and also all of the sons of King David submitted themselves to Solomon the king.


Notwithstanding, YHWH didn’t turn from the fierceness of his great wrath, with which his anger burned against Judah, because of all the provocation with which Manasseh had provoked him.


If it seems terrible in your* eyes to worship YHWH, y’all must choose today whom y’all will worship—the gods y’all’s ancestors worshiped beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land y’all dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve YHWH.”


Y’all must keep-keep the commandments of YHWH y’all’s God, and ʜɪꜱ testimonies and statutes, that ʜᴇ has commanded y’all.


You are to fear YHWH your God, serve ʜɪᴍ, and swear by ʜɪꜱ name.


Now let our princes be appointed for all the assembly, and let all those who are in our cities who have married foreign women come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city and its judges, until the fierce wrath of our God is turned from us, until this matter is resolved.”


Y’all shout against her on every side. She has thrown up her hands in surrender. Her pillars have fallen. Her walls have been thrown down, for it is the vengeance of YHWH. Y’all are to take vengeance on her. As she has done, do to her.


‘Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that my name might be there, and I chose no man to be prince over my people Israel;


but now I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel.’


For now I have chosen and made this house holy, that my name may be there forever; and my eyes and my heart will be there perpetually.
