Moreover, we have prepared and sanctified all the vessels which King Ahaz threw away in his reign when he was unfaithful. They are in front of the altar of YHWH.”
Ahaz gathered together the vessels of God’s house, cut the vessels of God’s house in pieces, and shut up the doors of the house of YHWH; and he made himself altars in every corner of Jerusalem.
Then they went in to Hezekiah the king within the palace and said, “We have cleansed all the house of YHWH, including the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels, and the table of show bread with all its vessels.
The bronze altar, which was before YHWH, he brought from the front of the house, from between his altar and the house of YHWH, and put it on the north side of his altar.
King Ahaz cut off the panels of the bases, and removed the basin from off them, and took down the sea from off the bronze oxen that were under it, and put it on a pavement of stone.
