Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, are written in the history of Jehu the son of Hanani, which is included in the book of the kings of Israel.

Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked, and love those who hate YHWH? Because of this, wrath is on you from before YHWH.


The word of YHWH came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,

The rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he fought and how he reigned, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.


At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, “Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on YHWH your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped out of your hand.


Now the rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last, are they not written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel?
