Y'all Version Bible

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of YHWH; but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil. He is Micaiah the son of Imla.” Jehoshaphat said, “Don’t let the king say so.”

Should it be said, O house of Jacob, “Is the Spirit of YHWH angry? Are these his doings? Don’t my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?”


They hate him who reproves in the gate, and they abhor him who speaks blamelessly.


Blessed are y’all when humans hate you*, and when they exclude and mock y’all, and reject y’all’s name as evil because of the Son of Humanity.

As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover to an obedient ear.


Don’t reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise person, and he will love you.

Micaiah said, “As YHWH lives, I will say what my God says.”

He said, “I have been zealous-zealous for YHWH, the God of Armies. The children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I alone am left. They are seeking to take away my life.”


for when Jezebel cut off YHWH’s prophets, Obadiah took one hundred prophets, and hid them fifty to a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)


The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of YHWH, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” Jehoshaphat said, “Don’t let the king say so.”


But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there here a prophet of YHWH besides, that we may inquire of him?”


Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, “Get Micaiah the son of Imla quickly.”
