Y'all Version Bible

When Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of YHWH that was before YHWH’s porch.

The king defiled the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mountain of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon.


But if y’all tell me, ‘We trust in YHWH our God,’ isn’t ʜᴇ the one whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has removed, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, ‘Y’all must worship before this altar in Jerusalem?’


The bronze altar, which was before YHWH, he brought from the front of the house, from between his altar and the house of YHWH, and put it on the north side of his altar.


Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, on the mountain that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the children of Ammon.


For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.


‘Cursed is the person who makes an engraved or molten image, an abomination to YHWH, the work of the hands of the artisan, and sets it up in secret.’ All the people will answer and say, ‘Amen.’


Therefore y’all must keep my requirements and not practice any of these abominable customs that were practiced before y’all, so y’all do not defile yourselves* with them. I am YHWH y’all’s God.’”


He placed forces in all the fortified cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.


Jehoshaphat lived at Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim, and brought them back to YHWH, the God of their fathers.


They put away the foreign gods from among them and served YHWH; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.


In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa began to reign over Judah.


The man who received the five talents immediately went and traded with others, and gained another five talents.
