So King Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem and reigned; for Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which YHWH had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel to put his name there. His mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonitess.

I am weak today, though anointed king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah are too hard for me. May YHWH reward the evildoer according to his wickedness.”
