Jeroboam didn’t recover strength again in the days of Abijah. YHWH struck him, and he died.

The days which Jeroboam reigned were twenty two years, then he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his place.

About ten days later, YHWH struck Nabal, so that he died.

Instantly, an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he didn’t give glory to God. Then he was eaten by worms and died.

“Son of humanity, I will take away from you the desire of your eyes with one stroke. But you must not mourn or weep or let your tears run down.

In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa began to reign over Judah.

David said, “As YHWH lives, YHWH will strike him, or his day will come to die, or he will go down into battle and perish.

Abijah pursued Jeroboam, and took cities from him: Bethel with its villages, Jeshanah with its villages, and Ephron with its villages.

But Abijah grew mighty and took for himself fourteen wives, and became the father of twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.
