By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep ʜɪꜱ commandments.

But whoever keeps ʜɪꜱ word, the love of God has truly been perfected in them. This is how we know that we are in ʜɪᴍ:

This commandment we have from ʜɪᴍ, that anyone who loves God should also love their sibling.

“This is my command: that y’all love one another.

This is how we know that we have come to know ʜɪᴍ: if we keep ʜɪꜱ commandments.

We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the siblings. Anyone who doesn’t love remains in death.
