Whether God asketh that wickedness of thee, for it displeased thee? For thou hast begun to speak, and not I; that if thou knowest anything better, speak thou that.

Therefore do not ye deem before the time, till that the Lord come, which shall lighten the hid things of darknesses, and shall show the counsels of hearts; and then praising shall be to each man of God.

The Lord tarrieth not his promise, as some guess, but he doeth patiently for you, and will not that any man perish [or not willing any to perish], but that all turn again to penance.

I reprove, and chastise whom I love; therefore pursue thou good men, and do penance.
