And when he spake yet, another came, and said, [The] Fire of God came down from heaven, and wasted [the] sheep, and smote thy children or servants; and I alone escaped for to tell to thee.
As an apple tree among the trees of woods, so is my darling among sons. I sat under the shadow of him, whom I desired; and his fruit was sweet to my throat.
And he hath set [or put] my mouth as a sharp sword, he defended me in the shadow of his hand, and setted [or put] me as a chosen arrow; he hid me in his arrow case,
Which when also he is the brightness of glory, and [the] figure of his substance, and beareth all things by word of his virtue, he maketh purgation of sins, and sitteth on the right half of the majesty in heavens;
For the word of God is quick, and speedy in working, and more able to pierce than any twain-edged sword, and stretcheth forth [till] to the parting of the soul and of the spirit, and of the jointures and marrows, and [it is the] deemer of thoughts, and of intents of hearts.
But a capital, that is, a short comprehending of many things, on those things that be said. We have such a bishop, that sat on the right half of the seat of greatness in heavens,
in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God alone our Saviour, by Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, and magnifying, empire, and power, before all worlds, and now, and into all worlds of worlds. Amen.
And he had in his right hand seven stars, and a sword sharp on ever either side [or on both sides] went out of his mouth; and his face as the sun shineth in his virtue.
And a sword sharp on either side [or on each side] came forth of his mouth, that with it he smite folks; and he shall rule them with an iron rod. And he treadeth the presser of wine of strong vengeance of the wrath of almighty God.
And the others were slain with the sword of him that sat on the horse, that cometh forth of the mouth of him; and all birds were [full]-filled with the flesh of them.
[the] which Ehud made to him a sword carving on ever either side, of the length of the palm of an hand; and he was girded therewith under the say, that is, a knight’s mantle, in the right hip.
