Lord, I shall abide thine health.

Yea, though God slay me, I shall hope in him; nevertheless I shall prove my ways in his sight.

And he goeth out, and is defouled as a flower; and he fleeth away as a shadow, and dwelleth never perfectly in that same state.

Lord, I abode thine health; and I loved thy behests.

[Caph.] My soul failed into thine health; and I hoped more in thy word.

For, Lord, I hoped in thee; my Lord God, thou shalt hear me.
