The chattel [or substance] of a rich man is the city of his strength; the dread of poor men is the neediness of them.

A poor man shall be hateful, yea, to his neighbour; but many men be friends of rich men.

A false witness shall not be unpunished; and he that speaketh leasings, shall not escape.
