But the generation of Christ was thus. When Mary, the mother of Jesus, was espoused to Joseph, before that they came together, she was found having of the Holy Ghost in the womb.

And a man said to him, Lo! thy mother and thy brethren stand with-outforth, seeking thee.

Whether this is not the son of a carpenter? Whether his mother be not said Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?

And they entered into the house, and found the child with Mary, his mother; and they felled down, and worshipped him. And when they had opened their treasures, they offered to him gifts, gold, incense, and myrrh.

and said, Rise up, and take the child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel; for they that sought the life of the child be dead.

After these things he came down to Capernaum, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples; and they dwelled there not many days.

His mother saith to the ministers, Whatever thing he saith to you, do ye.

And after that his brethren were gone up, then he went up to the feast day, not openly, but as in private.

And his brethren said to him, Pass from hence, and go into Judea, that also thy disciples see thy works that thou doest;

For neither his brethren believed in him.

All these were lastingly continuing [or dwelling together] with one will, in prayer, with women, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Whether we have not power to lead about a woman, a sister, as also other apostles, and brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

but I saw none other of the apostles, but James, our Lord’s brother.
