but shod with sandals, and that they should not be clothed with two coats.

Therefore do not ye bear a satchel, neither scrip, neither shoes, and greet ye no man by the way.

And he said to them, When I sent you without satchel, and scrip, and shoes, whether anything failed to you? And they said, Nothing.

And he said to them, Nothing take ye in the way, neither a staff [or a rod], nor scrip, neither bread, nor money, and neither have ye two coats.
