Either how may any man enter into the house of a strong man, and take away his vessels, but he first bind the strong man, and then he shall spoil his house?
And his fame went into all Syria; and they brought to him all that were at mal-ease, and that were taken with diverse languors [or sorrows], and torments, and them that had fiends [or devils], and lunatic men, and men in [the] palsy, and he healed them.
And when the devil was cast out, the dumb man spake. And the people wondered, and said, It hath not been seen thus in Israel [or It appeared never so in Israel].
For oft times he was bound in stocks and chains, and he had broken the chains, and had broken the stocks to small gobbets, and no man might make him tame [or might tame him].
And when he went out to the land, a man ran to him, that had a devil [now] long time, and he was not clothed with cloth, neither dwelled in house, but in sepulchres.
Then Samuel did, as the Lord spake to him; and he came into Bethlehem, and the elder men of the city wondered, and came to him, and said, Whether thine entry be peaceable?
