Also the prince of the chivalry took Seraiah, the first priest, and Zephaniah, the second priest, and [the] three porters,

and Azariah, the son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, was [the] bishop of the house of the Lord.

And his dukes offered those things which they avowed [or vowed] by their free will, as well to the people, as to priests and deacons [or Levites]. Wherefore the princes were wroth against Jeremy, and beat him, and sent him into the prison, that was in the house of Jonathan, the scribe; for he was sovereign on the prison.

And while they spake to the people, the priests and the magistrates of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them,

And as the magistrates of the temple, and the princes of priests heard these words, they doubted of them, what was done.
