In the seven and twentieth year of Jeroboam II, king of Israel, Azariah, the son of Amaziah, king of Judah, reigned;

Shallum, the son of Jabesh, reigned in the ninth and thirty year of Azariah, king of Judah; soothly he reigned one month in Samaria.

In the second year of Pekah, the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, reigned;

Ahaz was of twenty years, when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; he did not rightfulness [or right] in the sight of the Lord, as David, his father, did;

Also they hallowed to the Lord six hundred oxen, and three thousand sheep.

Then thou spakest in revelation to thy saints, and saidest, I have set [or put] help in the mighty; and I have enhanced the chosen man of my people.

In the year in which the king Uzziah was dead, I saw the Lord sitting on an high seat, and raised [up]; and the house of the Lord was full of his majesty, and those things that were under him filled the temple.

And it was done in the days of Ahaz, the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, Rezin, the king of Syria, and Pekah, the son of Remaliah, the king of Israel, ascended [or went up] to Jerusalem, for to fight against it; and they might not overcome it.

The Lord of hosts saith these things, Do not ye hear the words of [the] prophets, that prophesy to you, and deceive you; they speak the vision of their heart, not of the mouth of the Lord.
