Ephraim is smitten, the root of them is dried up; they shall not make fruit. That though they engender, I shall slay the most loved things of their womb.
And woe to them, that be with child, and nourishing [or nursing] in those days; for a great dis-ease [or pressure] shall be on the earth, and wrath to this people.
For lo! days shall come, in which it shall be said, Blessed be barren women, and [the] wombs that have not born children, and the teats that have not given suck.
