But after that our fathers had stirred [the] God of heaven and of earth to wrathfulness, he betook them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, Chaldean, king of Babylon; and he destroyed this house, and translated or brought over the people thereof into Babylon.

Forsooth the sons of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and he betook them into the hand of Midian seven years.
