He turned the heart of them, that they hated his people; and did guile [or treachery] against his servants.

Go thou, gather thou the elder men, that is, judges, of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, The Lord God of your fathers appeared to me, God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, and he said, I visiting have visited you, and I have seen all things that befelled to you in Egypt;

And [the] Egyptians tormented us, and pursued us, and they putted upon us most grievous burdens.

And all that generation was gathered to their fathers; and other men of Israel rose up, that knew not the Lord, and the works which he had done with Israel.
