Forsooth they used well Abram for her; and sheep, and oxen, and asses, and servants, and servantesses, and she-asses, and camels were given to him.

Forsooth he was full rich in possessions of silver, and of gold.

Raise not thine eyes to riches, which thou mayest not have; for those [or they] shall make to them-selves pens or wings, as of an eagle, and they shall fly into heaven.

For all thing that is in the world, is covetousness of flesh, and covetousness of eyes, and pride of life, which is not of the Father, but it is of the world.
