In the fifteenth year of Amaziah, the son of Joash, king of Judah, Jeroboam II, the son of Jehoash, king of Israel, reigned in Samaria one and forty years;
Forsooth the Lord said to Jehu, For thou didest busily that that was rightful [or right], and that pleased in mine eyes, and hast done against the house of Ahab all things that were in mine heart, thy sons till to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.

And the Lord spake not, that he should do away [the name of] Israel from under heaven, but he saved them in the hand of Jeroboam II, the son of Jehoash.
The word of the Lord that was made to Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, son of Jehoash, the king of Israel.
The words of Amos be these, that was in the shepherds’ things of Tekoa, which he saw on Israel, in the days of Uzziah, that is, Azariah, king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, son of Jehoash or Joash, king of Israel, before two years of the earth-moving.
